JOGA is an athletic based style of yoga that incorporates a unique blend of postures, breathing techniques, and relaxation tools to find balance in strength and flexibility, improve breath control/recovery and maintain a calm mind in sport and in life. It focuses on the mechanics and movements of athletes and athletic movements and is a program specifically designed to enhance athletic performance and injury prevention.
The difference between Yoga and Joga is that Joga was designed for athletes and athletic movements. Joga was originally designed as a program to be implemented into athletes training to complement their existing training and/or competition. Joga was not designed to take the place of the existing training but to lay a foundation to educate participants about the mechanics of the body, how to move within the body’s limitations, and overall awareness of body intelligence. Just as it is for athletes, Joga is not designed to replace lifting weights but to complement it by being a building block for superior strength and fitness.

Joga is being endorsed and implemented by some of North America’s top strength and conditioning coaches and athletic therapists. Professional Organizations such as the NHL, CFL, NBA, NFL and Olympic Teams as well as many varsity and high school teams are implementing the JOGA program into their current training regimens as an alternative option for functional movement and active recovery.

Joga is a program that will re-define your success in terms of educating the body on how to move more efficiently while preventing injury. Joga will educate young athletes about body awareness, coping mechanisms for the stresses that come with being an athlete at a young age and coping with academic stresses.
