Jackie is proud to be an ImPACT trained Athletic Trainer and the Head Trainer of the Quinte Red Devils AAA Hockey Association a position she has held for the past 5 years.
She has set up a Concussion Program for the entire association as well as works with their team trainers and monitors and assists with injuries. She has also set up similar Concussion Programs for the Belleville Bearcats Girls Hockey Association and Belleville Youth Soccer Club. Prior to the beginning of the season, all players complete a Supervised ImPACT Baseline Concussion Test. If at any time during the season a Head injury occurs, athletes can return to complete a Post-Injury Test. Along with a visit to the Medical Doctor, the ImPACT Testing is very helpful for athletes recovering from a concussion. ImPACT can help answer difficult questions about an athlete’s readiness to return to play or return to school, protecting them from the potentially serious consequences of returning too soon.
